The system is asking for an activation code

When a new tag is scanned on the payment system, it will ask you to enter your activation code. The activation code is unique to your account and will link the scanned tag to your account. Therefore, it is important that you do not share this code with others, as their tag would then also be linked to your account.

Existing user: I am scanning the tag I have always used?

If you are scanning a tag that you have used before, there could be a couple of different reasons why you are suddently asked to provide an activation code.

In many cases, through our conversation with the user, we find out that the person has a keychain with the tag attached. The payment system can read various types of chips, so it may pick up a different tag than the one you use for laundry. If this happens the system recognizes a new tag, and will ask for activation. If this is the case, simply scan your laundry tag instead.

In other cases you may have "inherited" a tag from an old tenant. Then when they close their account, the tag is then blank and will ask for an activation code. If this is the case, please contact us and we will help you.

If none of the above fits - please contact our customer service. The most effective way for us to help you, is if you call us while you are in the laundry room.
