Here, we aim to provide the best possible information about the challenges you may encounter when activating a laundry tag in the system.
Cash laundry - where you transfer money to your E-vaskeri account
If you experience problems activating your laundry tag, it may be because the previous owner has not blocked it or closed their laundry account after moving out.
To close the old account, we need the activation code, which you can find by scanning the tag in the laundry room and then clicking on the icon that looks like a laundry tag.
If the tag is blocked, you will need to be in the laundry room when you call support, or scan the tag 3–5 times in a row and provide the exact time you scanned it when you contact Nortec.
If the tag shows an error, it could be due to an incorrect or outdated activation code that no longer works. It’s important to always create your own laundry account by selecting ‘order activation code’ in the E-laundry system.
If there is already credit on the tag when you activate it, this means it is still linked to another user. We strongly recommend that you create your own laundry account immediately and contact customer service to have the tag linked to your account.
Credit laundry - where you pay over your rent
In a credit-based laundry system, the issue may be caused by the housing association having provided an incorrect activation code and subsequently deleted the account. This means the code will no longer work, and a new activation code must be provided.
To provide the correct information, we always need the tenancy number or apartment number as shown on your rental agreement. If a new tenancy has not been registered, please contact the housing association directly.
