If you find that the washing machine door is locked, it may be because the machine has encountered an error. However, there are a few things you can try to resolve the problem.

Turn the machine off and on

All machines have a main switch. The main switch is usually located behind the machine and can be either a round dial or a wall switch. The main thing to look out for is that it will likely say "on/off" on the main switch.

When you find the main switch, you should turn/press the button to the "off" position. Then, leave it off for 10-15 minutes before turning it back to "on." Often, the door will unlock while the machine is off; other times, it will unlock when the machine is turned back on.

Report the error
